I've linked up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share five random things about my week! :) Here we go! :)
My kiddos and I had SO much fun completing our m&m math activity on Day 2. We sorted, counted, added, and graphed our m&ms. It was a perfect start to get them thinking about math again after the summer months. They also did not mind that they got to eat the m&ms after our data was collected. :)
We started to learn how to play math games with our partners. This game is called Race to 100 and it is a great game for the beginning of the year! (You can find the entire pack of these progressive game boards in my TpT shop by clicking HERE.) My kids did a nice job with playing correctly and kindly this week. :) I'm hoping to have my small math groups up and running by next week.
We practiced our trick words for spelling by working on Rainbow Writing this week. Next week we will practice writing the words within shapes and writing the letters in a pattern.
This one is so true! I'm so t.i.r.e.d! I spent way too long tonight working at school on my lesson plans for next week. The first couple of weeks are always the hardest, as we learn what our kids can and cannot do (yet). Needless to say, this teacher is hanging out on the couch and relaxing tonight! :)
