My sweet hubby painted my bookshelves last night. It was the only major thing I planned on doing to my room this year. I’m trying to get rid of so much “red” in my room and using my blog colors like I did last year.
What colors or theme are you doing this school year OR are you sticking with the same decor as last year?
I would LOVE for you to link up below with a fun picture to share with us! 🙂 Grab the button above and post a question with your picture. Please link back! 🙂
Have a Happy Wordless Wednesday!!
That looks awesome!!! Did you use spray or regular paint? I painted the kids of my clear bins last year and you could see through. Now I'm wishing they were the old teal to go with my room. Do I scrape them or spray again? I love having a color scheme. Not a theme so much bc I feel stuck. Three years ago I was known as the ladybugs bc I had black and red dots. I stopped that quick. If I got one more ladybug knickknack. 🙂 the teal looks great. I'm always jealous of the people that are allowed to paint walls, bulletin boards, and filing cabinets. We can't do any of that.
Love the teal! Your shelves would fit nicely in my room, and I could really use more shelving… hmm?
Thanks for hosting this fun linky!

I LOVE the new color! Isn't it amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do?
Your shelves look great! That is a central color in my room. I have mostly blue, pink, and green in my room. I have a LOT of chevron and paisley. Every year I add a few new things and take a few things away sort of shifting to new color schemes, etc.

As a high school teacher I have never had a real theme, but I am trying this year: Purple and Lime

That bookshelf looks amazing! 🙂 last year I had a color scheme instead of a "theme". It was more calming and it looked so organized and put together, which helped my OCD lol. I would've used the same colors this year, however, I'm out of the classroom. Soooo…the beautiful teal, green, and brown teacher stuff/supplies/centers/EVERYTHING is in boxes in my garage.
Your shelves turned out great! I am sticking with purple, turquoise, and lime in my lab. Those colors are used in the paint and trim and floor tiles so I will always stick with that!

Teachers Are Terrific!
I love your shelves!! I wish I could paint the ones in my room to match what I have going on. Mine are all wood color right now, so they are fine. I am sticking with the same color scheme, pink, green and blue, but adding more chevron this year!! I love your blog colors!! 🙂

Your hubby is awesome!!!! He deserves a date night!!!
Love the teal! It is a lot more calming. Now I am second guessing the new bookshelves I bought at the end of last year. They were red! We will try them out, but I see painting in the near future! 🙂

Cute cute! I love Teal! I am using the same theme as last year, Road Trip. But since I moved rooms I have to redo everything so I will probably change some things up!

Gorgeous color! I love it!!! One of these years I'll shell out the money to do a black, teal, and white color scheme. Right now I'm just using bright orange, pink, blue, and green!

Love it! I think I'm going to try to go more with a teal/blue, green, purple but not with painting yet. I have a shelf that needs some paint though. And some left over blue from our sandbox… hmm…. You got me thinking… THanks! Now if my hubby will cooperate 🙂

This linky party is so FUN!! So glad to have found it, to link up this week! I'm totally with you on wanting to get all touches of RED out of my classroom. Can I paint the fire drill buzzer.. LOL? I'm sticking with the same color scheme: turquoise, black, and white – I'm sticking with that because it's my fave!!

Wednesdays are my favorite day of the week – not only is it hump day but it is Wordless Wednesday – which means tons of pictures and questions to ponder! Love it!
I haven't really have a color scheme in the past but this year I am working on unifying everything using primary colors – mainly blue and green (I know not a primary color, but I love it with blue) with some red and yellow. I love your newly painted shelves!
Christina, both shelves look absolutely fantastic!!! I am so glad you posted them so we could see the finished product.

Love the shelves! I am going with a color scheme this year….teal, black and white!
They look fantastic! Right now I have a mish-mash of everything, but I haven't put much effort into it since we are moving into a new school with all new everything including furniture. I keep trying to plan for it but it's hard since I don't know exactly what we'll have. Thanks for the inspiration.
A Rill Classroom
Linking up for the first time. So happy I found this. I am enjoying all the posts.
I love the shelves. I had to switch classrooms last year and couldn't take any furniture with me. Need to think about how I can bring in all together.

Your teal shelves are beautiful, and making me think that I need to paint my dull and boring tan ones!?
I am toning down my bold primary classroom colors this year by using denim, burlap, gingham, and bandana-print accents to go along with my western theme! It continues to be a "work in progress!"
Thanks for the fun link-up!

Love the teal! You've inspired the painting bug in me…All I had on the agenda for summer was painting my teacher stool but now I can't stop thinking about the 2 ugly fake wood bookshelves (one with a Formica top, eww) in my room and how I can get them painted in a way that sticks and looks good. 🙂

Your shelves look great! I'm sticking with what I had last year which was a random mix of bright colors. Our walls are light purple and our carpet is blue (almost whole room carpeted) so I used bright colors to keep it fun.

A Very Curious Class
Love the teal! My main colors are teal, lime, and hot pink. But my room is a big mix. I wanted to redo all my boards with black and neon colors but with a very, very short summer… It's not going to happen!
Love the Teal! that color is so pretty and is a great pop of color!!! Great way to brighten a room
I love the teal! I am going to have to paint one of my bookshelves when I get back into my classroom. I was thinking white but perhaps I should do a color- these look adorable! 🙂
